Why is it important to be registered at a parish?
When someone is asked to be a godparent at Baptism or a sponsor for Confirmation, that person must provide verification that he/she is a member "in good standing" of our parish. There have been times that we were unable to provide a sponsor letter because an individual was not registered.
Merely attending Mass is not sufficient documentation that you are a parishioner, nor is saying that your parents are registered. If you are an adult (over 18 years of age) you need to register on your own. Registering is easy. You can find forms in the back of the church, at the parish office, or on our website www.ollakes.org.

*** ALL VOLUNTEERS PLEASE TAKE NOTE ***
The Diocese has instituted a new online training class titled Protecting God’s Children and Vulnerable Adults 3.2.
If it has been more than three (3) years since your initial training, you will need to take this course. You may have received an email from the Diocese about this, but very few of our volunteers have completed this. The Diocese would like us to have a greater compliance record.
Here are the steps to do the class:- Go to www.virtusonline.org. The diocese has re-set most accounts to use their email address as their User ID (then request a password reset). If you have trouble logging in, please do NOT create a new account as that makes more work for us in consolidating your two accounts. Please email us at [email protected], and we can retrieve that for you.
- Log in to your EXISTING account using the User ID and Password you made when you first set up the account. If that does not
work, try using the password “Protect”.- Next, click on ‘training’. Then, take the online class assigned to you (PGC 3.2). It takes about an hour. Continue all the way to the point where you are offered to print the certificate, so that the system recognizes that you completed the class. We can do the actual printing from our admin tab for this certificate. NOTE: Do not fast-forward through the videos – this causes the program to get stuck and then we need to contact the help desk
Thank you for attending to this matter, and thank you for the wonderful work you do for our parish and the community.

NATIONAL EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL
-
-
Jesus Christ invites us to return to the source and summit of our faith—his Real Presence in the Holy Eucharist. Jesus is present, reminding us that he is more powerful than the storm. He desires to heal, renew, and unify the Church and the world.
I am the living bread that came down from heaven;
whoever eats this bread will live forever;
and the bread that I will give is my flesh
for the life of the world.JOHN 6:51
The Eucharistic Revival is intended to be far more than a series of events or a program. It aims to be a movement that enkindles a living relationship with Jesus Christ in the Eucharist and renews the Church.
